History of Health Promoting Schools in Australia

The Beginnings

In the early 1990s Health Promoting Schools  (HPS) became known internationally. There were some initial projects in Australia which focused on specific health issues to test the new framework. By 1994 enough momentum was growing that under the leadership of Louise Rowling the Australian Health Promoting Schools Association (AHPSA) was formed. Continue reading »
