Need evidence?

There is good evidence available that the health promoting schools approach is effective in improving health and educational outcomes. It shows that this comprehensive approach can impact on health and well-being in a range of areas especially mental health and bullying and nutrition and physical activity. The approach also contributes to the development of individual skills and factors in the school environment related to these areas, such as healthy policies, safe play equipment and safe sun structures, improved school ethos and culture and enhanced parental participation in the school community.
